Uterine lining is receptive to an embryo during a specific period of the menstrual cycle, called the window of implantation. Here, Liu et al. construct a spatiotemporal atlas of human endometrium at single-cell resolution to decrypt the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying endometrial receptivity and the onset and closure of implantation window.
