Quantum gravity theories predict a Generalized Uncertainty Principle (GUP) that modifies quantum mechanics at the Planck scale. The authors propose an optomechanical scheme based on interference to measure the GUP, with resolution unconstrained by the oscillator quality factor and expected to detect signals ten orders of magnitude below the electroweak scale under current experimental conditions.
