Soft porous crystals undergo structural deformations in response to external stimuli, such as temperature, pressure and guest molecules. Here, the authors study the guest-responsive structural transformation of single-crystal 3D covalent organic frameworks at room and high temperatures and identified nine distinct conformational isomers.
