Self-charging organic flow batteries based on multivalent metal negative electrodes

Self-charging batteries integrate energy conversion and storage but are limited by solid-state electrodes. Here, the authors report an organic self-charging flow battery that charges within 8 minutes to 94% capacity, matches various multivalent metal negative electrodes, and demonstrates high stability.

Advancements in spin-orbit-torque magnetic random-access memory require solutions for achieving high density and low power consumption. Biosynthesis of plant vitexin-derived flavonoid glycosides in yeast

Microbial biosynthesis is a promising alternative to plant extraction to obtain post-modified flavonoids, but current de novo biosynthesis is limited to milligrams per litre. Stabilization of layered lithium-rich manganese oxide for anion exchange membrane fuel cells and water electrolysers

The development of superior and cost-effective catalysts for the oxygen reduction and evolution reactions is pivotal for the future hydrogen economy.
