Polymeric nanofiber membranes are hindered by low mechanical strength and stability, especially under harsh conditions. Here, the authors report an approach to simultaneously enhance the tensile strength, stability and hydrophilicity by sequentially crystallizing covalent organic frameworks and poly(ether-etherketone).
