For the fourth year in a row, Peking University has topped the list of Chinese universities publishing high-quality research articles tracked by the Nature Index. In 2015, researchers associated with the Beijing-based university contributed the most to 68 top natural science journals included in the index.
While China's top research universities have increased their output of high-quality research in recent years, the country's most prolific producer of high quality research is the Chinese Academy of Sciences, which is the leading institution in the index.
