Community-Based Dental Education and Patient Care

Community-based dental education (CBDE) represents a paradigm shift in dental training, embedding students within non-hospital settings to address the oral health needs of underserved populations while fostering professional competencies. By exposing learners to primary care clinics, mobile units and outreach initiatives, CBDE cultivates clinical confidence, interprofessional collaboration and cultural awareness.
