Summary
Implant overdentures represent a major advancement in restorative dentistry, combining the stability of osseointegrated implants with the adaptability of removable prostheses. By anchoring a denture to two or more implants in the mandibular or maxillary arch, patients experience enhanced retention, increased biting force and reduced mucosal irritation compared with conventional dentures.
