Summary
Invasive geckos have established themselves in a variety of regions worldwide, often hitchhiking with human transport and thriving in anthropogenic landscapes. Their colonisation alters native ecosystems through competition for food and habitat, predation on invertebrates, and potential disruption of mutualistic interactions.
