Building on this, a suite of experiments introduced a “synergistic mindsets” intervention that combined growth-mindset training with a mindset that stress can enhance performance. Across six controlled studies, this integrated approach improved adolescents’ stress-related cognitions, physiological reactivity, psychological well-being and academic success, indicating that tackling multiple beliefs in concert can amplify impact and may be delivered at low cost through self-administered modules.
