Summary

Complementing these syntheses, intracranial monitoring studies have examined the acute impact of Mozart K.448 on interictal epileptiform discharges in patients with refractory focal epilepsy. High-resolution recordings revealed a rapid decrease in discharge rate after sustained exposure, accompanied by region-specific oscillatory changes in frontal networks. This work advances understanding of exposure-dependent dynamics and suggests that particular spectral and temporal features of music may play a key role in modulating epileptiform activity.
