Participatory Action Research for Social Change

Participatory Action Research (PAR) is a collaborative approach to inquiry that seeks to unite knowledge generation with social transformation. Rooted in critical pedagogy and emancipatory traditions, PAR involves researchers and participants working together through iterative cycles of planning, action and reflection. This methodology foregrounds the lived experiences of those most affected by social issues, challenging conventional distinctions between ‘researchers’ and ‘subjects’.
