Summary
Prognostic evaluation in metastatic colorectal cancer encompasses a spectrum of clinical, pathological and molecular variables that together inform risk stratification and therapeutic decision-making. Clinically, patient performance status, extent and sites of metastatic spread (liver, lung, peritoneum), and response to prior treatments remain foundational. Pathological features such as tumour differentiation, lymphovascular invasion and number of metastatic lesions further refine risk.
