Practical applications include the promotion of regular breaks in sitting, integration of light-intensity movement throughout the day and workplace redesign to incorporate standing or treadmill workstations. Such strategies may attenuate the biological pathways linking sedentary time to tumour development and support broader cardiometabolic health.
