A comprehensive network meta-analysis evaluated the comparative effectiveness of distinct telemedicine strategies for adults with type 2 diabetes. The study synthesised data across teleeducation, telemonitoring, telecase-management, telementoring and teleconsultation interventions over a median of six months. All modalities delivered clinically meaningful reductions in glycated haemoglobin, with an overall decrement of 0.43 percentage points compared with usual care. Ranking of strategies revealed that direct teleconsultation was most effective, followed by a combination of telecase-management and telemonitoring, and then teleeducation coupled with case-management. These findings underscore that combining personalised case review with continuous data transmission delivers superior glycaemic control, informing the design of future telemedicine programmes.
