By systematically varying ultrasonic power, irradiation time and ethanol–water ratio, researchers identified optimal conditions that significantly enhanced the yield of phenolics, carotenoids and vitamin C while preserving antioxidant capacity. Under the best parameters—400 W of ultrasound for 30 minutes with 50 per cent ethanol in water—extracts attained high concentrations of hesperidin and total phenols.
