Summary

Analysis of satellite imagery alongside water-borne disease records demonstrated that nitrate concentrations surged in agricultural catchments, correlating with a marked increase in infant methemoglobinemia. Elevated calcium and magnesium levels were linked to higher rates of urinary tract infections and dental caries. This work emphasises the value of integrating geospatial analytics with health surveillance to inform site-specific policies on land management and drinking-water regulation.
