Cooperativity and equilibrium with FOXA1 define the androgen receptor transcriptional program

The pioneer factor FOXA1 contributes to androgen receptor (AR)-dependent gene expression by opening chromatin to facilitate AR binding. Here, Jin et al.show that because FOXA1 promotes AR association to many low-affinity sites, excessive FOXA1 can lead to reduced AR availability for specific sites.

Lymphotropic nanoparticle enhanced MRI for the staging of genitourinary tumors

Pre-metastatic cancer exosomes induce immune surveillance by patrolling monocytes at the metastatic niche

Exosomes are extracellular vesicles that can favor tumor development and metastasis. Here, the authors show that cancer exosomes may also exert a suppressive function; in fact, exosomes from non-metastatic melanoma cells can lead to the recruitment of patrolling monocytes, which clear cancer cells at the pre-metastatic niche.

Trujillo et al. identify scavenger receptor class B type I (SR-B1) as a keratinocyte marker of skin inflammation and a potential therapeutic target.
