Chiral covalent-organic frameworks (COFs) are promising candidates for enantioselective recognition in drug development, asymmetric synthesis, and environmental monitoring but achieving both high enantioselectivity and quantitative sensing within a single COF-based system remains challenging. Here, the authors present an enhancement strategy for enantioselective sensing using a Tb3+-loaded chiral COF that relies on the exchange of piperazine with Tb3+ ions, resulting in a synergistic integration of cation-enhanced luminescence and chiral cavity-based enantioselective recognition.
