Liu, Tao, et al. share a Phase 4 randomized in which nearly 500 women undergoing hysteroscopic surgery received either oliceridine or a standard opioid in combination with propofol sedation, with continuous monitoring of respiratory and recovery parameters. Patients receiving oliceridine experienced fewer episodes of intraoperative hypoxia, required less propofol, and reported higher satisfaction, as did surgeons.
